MARSEILLE-PROVENCE 2013
Marseille-Provence has been selected to be the European Capital of Culture in 2013. All year long, hundreds of cultural and artistic events will take place throughout the Provence region: in Aix-en-Provence, Arles, Aubagne, Gardanne, Istres, La Ciotat, Martigues, Salon-de-Provence and, of course, Marseille.
Marseille-Provence 2013 is a regional project. This means bringing together one hundred and thirty communes in the department Bouches-du-Rhônes, which represents more than 2,2 million inhabitants.
This regional dimension is a key to the cultural project and programming. Planned events include themed installations, itinerant projects and simultaneous events in multiple locations and art in the public arena. For Marseille-Provence 2013, it’s about inventing new ways of showcasing the region by working closely with local stakeholders and populations.
A multitude of disciplines are on the menu. The panel goes from dance to music, visual arts, theatre, circus, exhibitions, street art, literature, digital art, cuisine and cinema.
The year has been divided into tree chapters, which reflect specific characteristics of the region.
1. Chapter: Marseille-Provence welcoming the world, will focus in the regions tradition of hospitality, its cosmopolitan nature and unique vision of the world.
2. Chapter: Marseille-Provence open sky, in the summertime, the program shifts to nature, outdoor, open air concerts in original locations and the regions undiscovered gems.
3. Chapter: Marseille-Provence Land of thousand faces, will focus on the art and living together in public space, new contemporary writing and works for children and young people.
Each chapter features:
• the opening of new cultural venues,
• the opening of exhibitions,
• and major popular gatherings.
New cultural facilities, transforming urban landscapes, will also open their doors in 2013. Contemporary architects from France and elsewhere, have designed new venues for artistic creation and cultural exchanges in Marseille, Arles, Aix, and Aubagne. This includes museums, concert halls, galleries, and artist studios.
You can find the programme here.
Being partner of the Culture Pilots project develops Marseille-Provence 2013’s European dimension and helps the association implement participative projects throughout the region.

TRAINEESHIPS IN VICENZA
Transnational mobility for the purpose of acquiring new skills is one of the fundamental ways in which individuals, particularly young people, can strengthen their future employability as well as their personal development.
Studies confirm that learning mobility adds to human capital, as students access new knowledge and develop new linguistic skills and intercultural competences. Furthermore, employers recognize and value these benefits.
Learning can also strengthen Europe’s competitiveness by helping to build a knowledge-intensive society, thereby contributing to the achievement of the objectives set out in the Lisbon strategy for growth and jobs.
Learning mobility has other positive features. It can, for example, help combat the risks of isolationism, protectionism and xenophobia which arise in times of economic crisis.
Since 1995 we are intermediate organization for international trainees in the frame of Leonardo Mobility and Erasmus placements programs.. We provide initial intensive Italian language and culture course and then work placement in a local company. Programs are lasting from 3 to 32 weeks.
