BELEARNING FINAL CONFERENCE
CENTRE CÍVIC CONVENT DE SANT AGUSTÍ
Barcelona
June 18th and 19th 2014
BeLearning: participation, training, ICT’s and change
#belearning
Participatory learning methodologies face the question of how to adapt to traditional learning and educational models and contexts. Across the EU, agents coming from culture, activism or social fields cross their roads with training institutions and local authorities in complex projects where ICT’s are mixed, blended and embedded in new learning approaches.
BeLearning is a meta training methodology that includes in a simple way multiple variables focused on creating changes in the invidivuals performances, the trainers implication, and the organisational and local impact.
The conference is about exploring the BeLearning philosophy via two scenarii: Urban Planning and training institutions own development. Each participant has to choose one of them and, in one day workshop, experiment and get practical results associated with the issues presented.

Mentor: Paco González, radarq
The co-creation of urban strategies still raises the issue of who is able to take part – a matter of competence – and who is allowed to take part – a matter of legitimacy. All too often the competence question is solved in an exclusionary manner: those who do not have the skills can not take part. But skills can take many forms: technical – reading maps and statistics; pedagogical – being able to share information in a way that a large public can understand; social – hold a large meeting and arrive at a shared conclusion; and many others. But experiences in London and Barcelona show that horizon can be much broader.Workshop is about how to explore participation and development of skills, and consider their consequences for co-creating strategic planning documents.
Addressed to: cultural managers, urban planners, social educators, activists, artists, community managers, community leaders, citizens.
The workshop will be in English and Spanish.
Workshop 2 : Training institutions: the Vocational and Educational Sector sector and the technology changes
Moderates: Pierre L. Carrolaggi and Jean-Luc Manise (Cesep)
Mentor: Pierre Lelong. Technofutur TIC. Belgium
While training organisations face new challenges and constrain, they must innovate. But between hypes, commercial pressures and various influences, it is difficult to teachers, trainers and educators to find their way. So, how can we use ICT’s and web 2.0 whatever the tool used? How can we implement learning environments to get key competences? How to integrate those changes into the current activities of teachers and institutions? With the BeLearning approach, and according to the previous practical experience of both institutions, workshop will explore the new ways of training, learning and evaluation to get key competences.
Addressed to: teachers, educators, trainers, Vocational and Educational Training (VET) participants and institutions
Workshop 2 will have a simultaneous translation English-Spanish.
DAY 2: June 19th
Following up of workshop 1 and workshop 2
9:30-13:30 Workshops will continue by applying the path proposed by BeLearning methodology, that combines phases (open sharing/workshop/postworkshop) and layers (digital/interaction/impact). There will be a common result of both workshops according with the needs, expectations, skills and aims of the participants.
